Remodeling in Parkland

In Parkland we remodel kitchens and bathrooms, and we take on full renovations and interior painting. We look at the space in person first, then we price it.

About Parkland

Kept low on purpose

Parkland's charter passed on July 10, 1963, and the city was officially recognized on August 12, 1963. The founder was Bruce Blount, a farmer and rancher who first called the place BBB Ranches.

There were no stores and no traffic lights here until the mid-1990s and the early 2000s. Over the first decade the horses outnumbered the people.

The houses here

Younger than most of Broward

Heron Bay and Parkland Isles went up in the mid-1990s and the early 2000s, and the 2020 census counted 34,670 residents.

A house from that stretch is usually sound and simply dated. The tile is beige and the counters are builder grade. The primary bath still has a corner tub nobody fills.

That is a good house to remodel. The layout normally works, and it is the finishes that let it down.

How it goes

From the visit to the last wipe down

  1. We come see it

Christhian walks the rooms with you and asks what you want changed.

  2. We plan it

We work out the order of the job and what has to be picked before anything gets ordered.

  3. We protect the house

Floors get covered and the work area gets closed off from the rooms you are still living in.

  4. We finish and clean

Grout gets sealed and paint gets its last coat. Then we clear out.

City permits

Parkland has its own department

The City of Parkland Building Department issues building permits from approved plans, and it schedules the inspections, including structural, electrical, plumbing and mechanical.

We'll go over what your job may need at the visit.

More questions

We live behind a gate. Does that slow things down?

It adds a step, not a problem. Most associations here want the job written down and the crew listed before anyone comes through. Get us the form early.

Can you do two bathrooms at the same time?

Often yes. It depends on the layout and on whether you can live around it. We work that out at the visit.

Our house is only twenty years old. Is it worth remodeling?

That is the usual age we see here. The house itself is fine. The finishes are the part showing their age.

Do you price over the phone?

No. Christhian sees the space first.
